2026 All Stars Commitment Information

Being selected for a Woodbridge Little League All-Star Team is a tremendous honor — and a BIG commitment for players and families.

✅ Eligibility Requirements

Players must meet all Little League International Tournament rules and provide documentation for the District 9 Team Affidavit.

1) Regular Season Participation

  • Player has participated in at least 8 regular-season games for a Woodbridge Little League team.
  • The team has completed at least 12 scheduled games (official weather cancellations do not count against this total).

2) Residency or School Enrollment (One of the following)

  • Option A: Three (3) proofs of residency from distinct categories (e.g., driver’s license, utility bill, insurance, vehicle registration), or
  • Option B: School Enrollment Form signed by a school administrator/principal confirming the player attends a school within league boundaries.

3) Original Documents Required

  • Original Birth Certificate (no photocopies)
  • Three proofs of residency or a signed School Enrollment Form

Important: Incomplete or missing documentation may result in ineligibility to participate.

Participation Commitment Expectations

  • Attend all practices, scrimmages, game days, and the District 9 All-Stars Opening Ceremony.
  • Practices may be held up to five (5) times per week, including evenings.
  • Games may be scheduled on Saturdays and/or Sundays based on the District 9 tournament schedule.
  • Summer vacations, camps, or other activities do not excuse absences.

The All-Star season begins immediately after the regular season and may continue through late June or July depending on advancement.

If a team advances beyond the Regional Tournament, the State Tournament may be played around the Fourth of July holiday.

Placement Note:
An All-Star division may differ from regular-season division. For example, a league-age 9–10 player who played Majors might be selected for Minors (8–10U) All Stars based on eligibility and team needs.

Woodbridge Little League All-Star / Tournament Team Commitments

Woodbridge Little League — 2026 Spring/Summer Tournament Eligibility
District 9, Southeast Region (Virginia)

Purpose: To ensure all players are eligible, safe, and ready to represent Woodbridge in district and regional spring/summer tournament play. This document outlines age brackets, required forms, residency assumptions, and key deadlines.

A. Age Brackets for 2026 Spring/Summer Tournaments

Minors 8-10 (ages 8, 9, 10)
Minors 9-11 (ages 9, 10, 11)
Little League (Majors) 10-12 (ages 10, 11, 12)
Juniors 12-14 (ages 12, 13, 14)
Seniors 13-16 (ages 13, 14, 15, 16)

B. Player Eligibility & Participation Requirements
  1. Residency/League Affiliation
  • Must be registered with Woodbridge Little League.
  • Must reside within Woodbridge district boundaries or be eligible under Little League transfer/eligibility rules.
  • Out-of-district players may be eligible with district-approved waivers or cross-district participation policies.

C. Required Forms & Where to Get Them
  • Player Eligibility Form (Woodbridge Little League)
  • Medical Authorization / Emergency Contact Form
  • Consent to Treat Form (if separate)
  • Uniform and Equipment Compliance Checklist (optional)
  • Transfer/Waiver Request Form (if applicable)

D. Key Deadlines
  • Early May: Return interest forms and confirm league participation. Submit boundary waivers if needed.
  • Mid-May: Initial rosters are worked by WBLL Staff.
  • Late May: Finalize rosters. Order uniforms. Collect birthdates, medical forms, and consent forms; begin roster draft.
  • June: Daily practices begin. Tournaments begin not earlier than June 15th.
  • July: Daily practices and tournament games.
  • Player MUST remain available daily between June and July!!!

E. Quick Reference: What to Have Ready
  • Player full legal name, date of birth, and address for residency verification (if required).
  • Birth certificate.
  • Current medical authorization form and emergency contact info.
  • Player eligibility form/s (electronic or paper).
  • Signed Code of Conduct forms for players and guardians.
  • Transfer/waiver documents (if applicable).
